OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. Amount of funds trusted to PrivatBank is about 1'000UAH per one Ukrainian citizen. 

At the end of the last year, deposits of individual persons in PrivatBank increased by UAH17.9 billion. Total amount of deposits placed in PrivatBank, as for January 1st, 2011 amounting UAH45 billion, was a record for Ukrainian banking.

PrivatBank was far ahead of national banking by the growth of client confidence rate in 2010.

According to the NBU data deposits of the banking system grew in average by 34% for the past year, and in PrivatBank - by 65.6%. Amount of trusted to PrivatBank funds divided by national population, including senior citizens and children, would be about UAH1'000 per person.

"Today we do not need to persuade our customers that the bank is the best place to keep and multiply their funds - said Chairman of PrivatBank Alexander Dubilet. - Most of Ukrainians take advantages of up-to-date banking services to solve their routine problems, and in this aspect we became closer to the Western culture of client-bank relations ".

As it was reported, according to the results on Ukrainian banking market research, conducted by GfK Ukraine in the third quarter of 2010, every fourth deposit of Ukrainian citizens (26%) was placed on PrivatBank accounts. More than 42% of clients used plastic cards issued by PrivatBank, approximately 25% of respondents choosed PrivatBank to send or receive money transfer, and every third customer (33%) trusted PrivatBank to perform currency exchange operations and payments for goods or services. More than 40% of clients received their credit cards in PrivatBank.
