IDBI Bank Launches Financial Inclusion Programme in Unbanked Villages
OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. With a view to including the rural inhabitants in unbanked villages into the folds of banking, Shri Melwyn Rego, Executive Director, IDBI Bank Ltd. launched the Financial Inclusion Programme in Tengu and Vanvasamachi villages in Satara district of Maharashtra on March 15, 2011.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rego said that "the launch of financial inclusion programme in the allotted villages is a step towards partnering with the villagers for their overall economic progress".
IDBI Bank has set up a Team to oversee the implementation of Financial Inclusion programme as envisaged by the RBI and GoI.
