Interpipe Finishes First Stage of Recruitment Process
OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. Steel pipe and railway wheel company Interpipe has finished the first stage of recruitment for its Continuous Improvement System (ICIS). The recruitment drive aimed to find talented managers for production optimization that will also be responsible for the implementation of ICIS at Interpipe’s production sites.
Frank Rittner, Director of Strategy and Business Development at Interpipe, explains: 'The implementation of ICIS at all Interpipe production sites is a key instrument to increasing business efficiency. That’s why we pay particular attention to the selection and recruitment of ICIS specialists. They will be the main change agents at the Company’s production sites and will implement the best practices at workshops and contribute to the reduction of costs during production.’

All candidates were asked to take a test consisting of four blocks – mathematics, logistics, IQ and an application task on power calculation. The candidates that scored highest on the test were invited to participate in the group practice. Oksana Marina, Director for Human Resources at Interpipe said: ‘Group practices help to determine the personal characteristics of candidates and the roles played by each group participant - whether he/she is a leader or a performer, thus, allowing us to make the most complete assessment of the candidate. The final stage consisted of interviews between the best participants and the Company’s management. All participants showed a high level of knowledge and competence.’
