OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation upon the signs of violating Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The case was initiated upon a petition of “Tsentr-Pogruzchik” Ltd.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade compiled and approved the List of trucking facilities and municipal vehicles to be procured by the constituent territories of the Russian Federation using subsidies.

“Tsentr -Pogruzchik” Ltd. approached the Ministry of Industry and Trade asking to include the company and equipment manufactured by the company in the List.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the List can be added if the constituent territories of the Russian Federation submit requests for procurement of certain equipment manufactured in the Russian Federation.

The Ministry refused to include “Tsentr-Pogruzchik” Ltd. In the List as there were no such requests from the constituent territories of the Russian Federation for procurement of the equipment manufactured by the company.

“FAS Russia is of the opinion that equipment manufacturers not included in the List are put in an unequal position in comparison with the manufacturers that are included in the List. The case will be heard on 14th April 2011”, said the Head of the FAS Russia’s Department for Control over the Authorities, Vladimir Mishelovin.
