OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. Bankovskoye obozreniye [Banking Review] journal published its first rankings of 100 most successful women in banking* that put Irina Busheva and Olga Oleinik, vice chairs of Sviaz-Bank’s Management Board, in 21st and 22nd places, respectively, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

In all, the rankings include 55 women employed at lending institutions. The rankings were based on criteria such as the size of a lending institution, position held, and interest in the authorized capital. A large block of shares added points to its holder’s total score but was not a decisive factor.

Irina Busheva and Olga Oleinik are well known in the banking community, with indisputable success each of them has achieved in banking.

Irina Busheva graduated with distinction from the Finance Institute in Moscow, majoring in finance and credit, and has a PhD degree in economics. She has a background of more than 20 years in banking. Irina Busheva was Vice Chair of the Management Board of Avtobank Commercial Bank, Moscow Business World Commercial Bank, and VTB24 (CJSC) at different periods of her banking career. On January 28, 2009, she was appointed Vice Chair of Sviaz-Bank’s Management Board.

Irina Busheva’s responsibilities include development of retail banking and the Bank’s network of branches. Sviaz-Bank now offers a long line of new programs and banking products, including mortgage and consumer credit services, and car purchase loans, among others, for all client categories. At the end of 2010, the Bank’s portfolio of funds accepted from individuals on deposit had trebled from the year before. The Bank’s regional network comprises 51 branches, including branches opened in Kazan and Kemerovo at the end of 2010 and in early 2011.

Olga Oleinik has a higher engineering and higher economic education from the Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics and the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. She has held jobs at lending and financial institutions since 1997. Between 1997 and 2005, she was employed in various executive positions at the Russian Industrial Bank CJSC. Olga Oleinik has advanced from counsel to Sviaz-Bank’s President to Vice Chair of the Bank’s Management Board since 2005.

Olga Oleinik specializes professionally in corporate client services and improvement in the quality of settlement services. She devotes much effort to attracting new customers, including enterprises in the economy’s widely diverse industries, willing to have their banking needs served by the Bank. The Bank’s resources are growing significantly as a result. The Bank uses modern electronic banking systems, Bank-Client/Internet System. In 2010, Sviaz-Bank joined the federal urgent electronic payments system.
