OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. Profil journal has studied the trends in the Russian banking system in 2010 and published its latest rankings of 200 biggest Russian banks, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

Sviaz-Bank placed tenth among the top profit-earning banks (as of January 1, 2011). In the periodical’s estimates, the Bank had made a profit of 6.03 billion rubles recorded on the last reporting date.

Sviaz-Bank was 24th in assets – worth 175.8 billion rubles on January 1, 2011 – among the 200 biggest Russian banks in net assets.

With 68 billion rubles out on loan to other than state-owned businesses, Sviaz-Bank was ranked by the periodical 25th among banks that had issued the largest amount of loans to private companies (as of January 1, 2011).

Finally, Sviaz-Bank is 23rd in the rankings of banks having the largest balances in corporate customers’ accounts on January 1, 2011, which amounted to 49.1 billion rubles on that date.

Profil journal used its own technique to allocate the rankings that may differ from the Bank’s official figures obtained by the technique used by the Bank of Russia.
