OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2011. The Government is doing everything necessary to ensure spring sowing campaign by finance and credit and logistical resources. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at a session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The sowing of early grain has already begun in the southern regions. It was seeded 32 thousand hectares by March 16. In addition, fertilizing of winter crops works are continue too. In the area of three million hectares was made fertilizer.

"On the program of support to farmers from the State budget has allocated over 33 million UAH, that in 2,2 times more than in the same period last year", - Mykola Azarov said.

The Prime Minister also stressed that, due to the Agrarian Fund this year allocated 1.5 billion UAH that would be used to forward purchases. Those are essentially interest-free loans to farmers.

"To ensure farmers credit resource were established commissions in the center and local, which should help farmers in getting loans, " Mykola Azarov said, adding that there are already positive results.

Since the beginning of the commissions (14 February 2011) the volume of credit involved farmers increased from 531 million UAH to 1.5 billion (at 03/15/2011).

Mykola Azarov also noted that, unlike previous years, increased working capital of farmers. According to State Statistics Committee, the agricultural income for 2010 increased nearly 2-times compared with the year 2009 (from 6.2 billion. to 11.4 bln.).

The Government has agreed with chemical companies to supply 200 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizer at subsidized prices. Also fuel has sold for farms at discounted prices with Shebelinka Refinery. The release price of diesel fuel and gasoline A-76 will be respectively 7.7 and 7.9 UAH / l, below market price.

"All this gives grounds for a successful spring sowing campaign 2011", - said Mykola Azarov.
