OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2011. China’s crude steel output reached 54.31 million tons in February, bringing the 2-month total production to 114.18 million tons, up 12.6 percent year-on-year.

The daily output stood at 1.94 million tons, up 7.85 percent. China produced 50.51 million tons of pig iron and 63.54 million tons of steel products.

In the first two months, the production figures were 102.68 million tons and 130.87 million tons, up 8.9 percent and 14.5 percent respectively.
