OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2011. The meeting on Kazakhstan Western Regions telecommunications development has been held in Uralsk, under the guidance of Kazakhtelecom Management Board Chairman Kuanyshbek Essekeev, reported the press-centre of KASE.

The meeting on issues related to modernization has been held with involvement of Directors General of West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Atyrau and Mangistau Regional telecommunications Departments. During the meeting participants discussed the comprehensive business plan on the regional telecommunications development.

According to Kazakhtelecom Commercial Director Askar Eserkegenov the volume of investments planned during 5 years is over KZT10 billion. The main focus is new technologies development and implementation, such as the optics at home, new services, technologies on large strategic corporate objects and creation of intraareal networks in all regions.

Also, the iDCenter has been opened in Uralsk - the sixth in the country. Akim of West Kazakhstan region Bakytkozha Izmukhambetov participated in the show-room opening ceremony.
