Two New Systems of Estonian ANS Nominated for Jane ATC Award
OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2011. CANSO EGM was followed by the inaugural CANSO ATM Dinner & Jane's ATC Awards, during which Jane’s ATC Award winners of the year 2011 were announced. During the Award event, Avibit Data Processing GmbH and the new Tallinn Tower System integrated with the ATM System of Estonian ANS were noted in the service provision category, reported the press-centre of EANS.
The new ATM System of Tallinn Tower was put into operation in February 2011 – nowadays it is one of the best integrated Tower Systems in the world.
COMSOFT GmbH was also shortlisted in the industry category for the first automated operational AIXM 5-based aeronautical database with eAIP, which was procured from COMSOFT for Estonian ANS.
Estonian ANS is one of the first service providers in the world to implement (this spring) AIXM 5.1 database that is connected both to e-AIP system and EAD.
Now in the eleventh year the Jane’s ATC awards have established themselves for recognising and rewarding excellence within the ATM industry. The goal of the award is to celebrate the best achievements by industry players.
Jane’s ATC Awards are announced in eight categories. The panel of judges includes representatives from ICAO, IFATCA, IATA, the Federal Aviation Administration, Eurocontrol, CANSO and IHS Jane’s.
