OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2011. Bo Andersson, President of GAZ Group, received “Automotive Executive of the Year” award at the international Automotive Forum. The biggest automotive forum in Russia organized by Adam Smith Institute is taking place in Moscow, reported the press-centre of GAZ Group.

Bo Andersson, President of GAZ Group, was named the best executive of the year in Russian automotive industry for achievements in model range renewal, establishment of cooperation between GAZ Group and leading international automakers, and positive financial results of the company in 2010. The vote in the category was held by Adam Smith Institute among the top managers of Russia’s automotive market.

“In 2010 under Bo Andersson’s leadership GAZ Group launched upgraded GAZelle-BUSINESS with a considerable number of design improvements and a competitive price, which made the vehicle the best offer in the Russian light commercial vehicles market. The company has reached cooperation agreements with the leading international automakers - Daimler, Volkswagen, General Motors, FAW – on production of vehicles at GAZ Group’s facilities”, said Dr. Frank Schauff, CEO of the Association of European Businesses, who held the award ceremony at the conference.

In his turn, Bo Andersson emphasized that “these achievements were made by the whole team of GAZ Group”.
