OREANDA-NEWS. March 17, 2011. The government of Russia has approved the draft agreement with Belarus on parallel operation of power grids. The relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

In line with the agreement, on 1 July 2011 Belenergo and Inter RAO UES will establish a joint venture in Belarus. Each of them will have 50% of the authorized fund of the new company. The agreements (contracts) on the parallel operation of the power grids of Belarus and Russia will be signed every year before 1 November for the following year.
