OREANDA-NEWS. March 17, 2011. The capitalization of CenterTelecom exceeded USD 2.4 bln on the Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange (MICEX).  Year-to-date, the value of the company has gone up by about 13%, or USD 274 mln.

The weighted-average price of one of the company’s common shares amounted to RUR 35.182, and one preferred share to RUR 27.013, while aggregate capitalization reached RUR 69,726,080,499, which was equal to USD 2,412,433,415 as of the official exchange rate quoted by the Bank of Russia on March 1, 2011.

“Growth in capitalization, as one of the key efficiency indicators, shows that the company’s rollout strategy is on the right track.  Since the beginning of the year, the company’s value has gone up by 13%, outperforming the industry and stock market indexes.  This performance also highlight investor confidence in business stability and the future of the company”, said the vice-president of Rostelecom and general director of CenterTelecom Vaagn Martirosyan.
