OREANDA-NEWS. March 17, 2011. Ingosstrakh OJSIC has won the open tender of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the insurance of RF immovable property abroad with the aggregate premium of insurer in the amount of 4.249 million US dollars.

The tender contained three lots depending on the location of property: the first lot included the property in Europe, Asia, Australia and Oceania; the second one included North America, CIS and Baltic countries; the third one – South America and Africa. Ingosstrakh OJSIC has become a winner in all the three lots.

The insurance sum on the first lot amounted to 2,229,904,592.72 US dollars, on the second one – 1,379,584,416.11 US dollars, on the third one – 434,245,255.30 US dollars. The property is insured against all risks, including terrorism. Reinsurance protection is provided within the framework of obligatory and facultative reinsurance agreements.

Ingosstrakh OJSIC provided insurance for the objects of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia abroad from 1978 till 2005. From 1995 till 2004, the company provided annual insurance for the objects of the Ministry located in over 100 countries of the world. The aggregate amount of indemnity, paid during these years, amounted to 5,375,133.83 US dollars, and the largest one-time loss – 2.8 mln. US dollars – was incurred in connection with an earthquake in Turkey in 1998.
