OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2011. Introduction of electronic digital signature in Azerbaijan is expected to come into being in autumn.

Head of Azerbaijan’s Strategic Planning Department Isfandiyar Aliyev has reported that launch of system into commercial operation is planned for this September.

" The system is ready for exploitation from the technical point of view but work on development of regulatory framework and determination of cost of services on e-mail certificates provision are still underway",- I. Aliyev said.

In his words cost of certificates for population, private companies and state bodies will be different.

" The population will also be given clues of electronic digital signature for information exchange, submission of applications and appeals to state bodies within implementation of electronic government project",- I. Aliyev noted.

He also informed on possibility of simultaneous commissioning of electronic digital signatures and electronic government.
