OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2011. Preparation for failure-safe passage through the flood season and provision for reliable operation of equipment and facilities during the period concerned has commenced at JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” enterprises. A special flood commission has been established within the Company. Within the framework of the preparation activities one is undertaking thorough examination and review of preparedness of equipment, buildings and structures for passage through the flood season and implementing measures meant to ensure contingency situations prevention.

There are flood commissions operating with all the Company branches. One has elaborated an array of measures for preparation for melt water transition flow. Specialists are busy reviewing equipment condition, compliance with regulatory requirements and the level of thermal power stations and heating networks personnel preparedness for work during the flood season.

One is about to review preparedness of hydromechanical equipment, drainage installations, washer devices and water pumping mechanisms. Special attention is attached to measures ensuring prevention of generating facilities underflooding and response to possible ice clogging. One is reviewing operation of mechanical and electronic water level monitoring systems. Schedules of water discharge from storage ponds are being specificated. One is busy coordinating plans of interaction and operative information exchange with the territorial divisions of the Russian Federation EMERCOM, the Krasnoyarsk regional dispatching authority and municipal entities administrations.

In March-April, within the framework of preparation for floods, emergency response drills will be arranged at “Yenisei TGC” enterprises in the course whereof one will train operational personnel actions during the flood and inundation period.

During the flood period round-the-clock personnel watching as well as control of changes in meteorological conditions, ice cover state and water level and afflux will be arranged at all the energy facilities of the Company to timely implementation of the measures required.

Implementation of all the measures planned will enable one to expect failure-free passage through the coming flood season.
