Norvik Timber Invests in Second Sawmill in Estonia
OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2011. Norvik Timber Industries is investing in a second sawmill at its Estonian Laesti business. The first stage of the project in Parnu will see Laesti’s annual production increasing to 80,000 cubic metres. It involves the purchase of land and new sawmilling equipment, as TTJ reported.
The new mill will primarily produce lumber from small diameter logs, while the existing mill continues with its current production.
Laesti’s main activities are production of sawn timber, drying, planing and treatment.
