OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2011. Belarusian foreign trade deficit amounted to USD 683.4 million in January 2011, compared to a surplus of USD 154.5 million in January 2010, according to the website of the National Bank of Belarus.

Overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 4.528 billion in January 2011, up 11.1% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services decreased 9.1% to USD 1.922 billion, and imports increased 32.9% to USD 2.606 billion.

Commodity trade deficit reached USD 840.5 million in 2011 (USD 1.572 billion of exports and USD 2.413 billion of imports), and service trade surplus amounted to USD 157.1 million (USD 350.3 billion of exports and USD 193.2 million of imports).
