OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2011. As per the results of 2010 “Unibank” CJSC showed growth of activity key indices and increased the market share by the key directions. Within the adopted strategy on retail sector active development, the main goals of the Bank became card and consumer crediting and small and medium business crediting, reported the press-centre of Unibank.

Owing to successful development of prerogative directions, the assets of “Unibank” reached 115.3 milliard drams that makes over 7.3% of the total assets of the banking system of RA. In 2010 “Unibank” considerably developed the credit portfolio volume – per year the portfolio incresed by 11.4% making 75.5 milliard drams. The greater part of credit investments of “Unibank” - 48.7 milliard drams – made credits to economy.

 The growth of this index made over 20% per year. 35.5% (26.7 milliard drams) of the credit investments were credits to physical persons. According to ArmInfo, by the volume of credits to physical persons and economy “Unibank” accordingly occupies the 3rd and 5th places in the  banking system of RA. It is significant that in 2010 the Bank occupied the leading position by the consumer crediting volume. The credit investments in this direction made about 24 milliard drams thus ensuring the 2nd place for the Bank. By the industry crediting “Unibank” occupied the 3rd place with index of 23.8 milliard drams.

During 2010 “Unibank” focused special attention at risk-management. Owing to development and implementation of new, demanded credit products, simplification of the procedure of customers’ access to banking resourses, objective assessment of financial situation of customers and effective control the Bank succeeded in ensuring high quality of assets. By the coefficient of credit investments quality that characterizes the specific gravity of overdue credits in the portfolio of the Bank, “Unibank” occupied the 2nd place with index 0.01% (perfect value 0%). By the coefficient of own funds use efficiency the Bank is a leader as in 2009.

The number of cards emitted by “Unibank” in 2010 increased by 66% amounting to 66.000. By the number of international cards among the banks-members of ArCA payment system “Unibank” occupied the leading position. Till the end of the current year the Bank stipulates to reach the level of 200.000 cards.

As per the results of 2010 “Unibank” registered the maximum annual growth of retained income in the banking system of RA. The retained income of the Bank increased tenfold making 1.6 milliard drams.
