OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2011. Companies subordinate to the Forestry Ministry plan to purchase 1,400 machines in 2011-2015 worth a total of 586 billion Belarusian rubles (Br), the ministry said in a statement.

It is planned to acquire 204 harvesters, 410 forwarders, and 180 short log trucks.

In 2015, timber procurement from all types of felling is projected to increase to 9 million cubic meters. Private organizations are expected to procure 2 million cubic meters of timber annually by 2015.

Chip fuel production is projected at around 425,600 cubic meters by 2015.
