OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2011. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President: Koichi Muto) today announced that Chairman Akimitsu Ashida delivered the keynote speech at the Japan Securities Summit in New York on March 1, co-sponsored by the Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA) and the Securities Financial Markets Association (SIFMA).

Chairman Ashida said that demand for ocean shipping will grow steadily, and outlined MOL strategies to maximize its competitiveness in the industry, including its ocean shipping portfolio. About 180 people including front-line economists and analysts, institutional investors, and other financial industry specialists took part in the event and generated active discussion.
