Earlier, Global Custodian (UK), the leading magazine in the international custody business, announced the best custodian banks in emerging markets for the year 2010 in its latest issue. ICBC has for the seventh consecutive year been named the Best Custodian Bank of China, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

Every year, the Global Custodian invites fund houses, insurance companies, investment banks around the world to participate in its survey on the custodian banks in emerging markets. Scores are given on the customer services, accounting report, company moves, clearing, income pooling and technology. All qualified questionnaires are used in the study to choose the winners.

In 2010, ICBC strengthened the organization and management of custody business and pushed ahead the progress. The Bank retained its top spot as the largest custody bank in China by chalking up another historic high of asset under custody, a total scale surpassing RMB 2.8 trillion. ICBC dutifully performs its custodian role and ensures the running of custody services in a steady, safe and highly efficient manner. ICBC is delighted that its efforts have been recognized by the market and investors. As of today, ICBC won 24 awards from domestic and international for its custody services.
