OREANDA-NEWS. March 10, 2011. Sharp Corporation will expand its line of digital full-color MFPs featuring a large 10.1-inch color touchscreen LCD by introducing into the Japanese market four new models in the mid- to high-speed range: MX-4110FN, MX-4111FN, MX-5110FN, and MX-5111FN.

These models are equipped with a large 10.1-inch color touchscreen LCD that enables intuitive operation. Scanned documents are displayed on the LCD screen, enabling users to use finger touches to easily perform operations such as confirming document content, changing page order, and deleting pages, leading to fewer unintended printing mistakes. The MX-5111FN and MX-4111FN are standard-equipped with a Duplex Single Pass Feeder (DSPF)*1 that feeds in and scans large-volume documents at high speed. In addition, various options for upgrading the MFPs to match specific office needs and to boost productivity are available, such as a space-efficient Inner Finisher and a Saddle Stitch Finisher that can saddle stitch paper in sizes up to A3 wide.

Further, these models deliver high environmental performance by reducing power consumption by approximately 65% compared to predecessor models*2—the result of a significantly shorter warm-up time and holding down power consumption to 1W when on network standby*3. Additionally, a wide range of solution services is supported to improve efficiency of office operations via cloud-based connections to PCs and mobile devices like smartphones.
