OREANDA-NEWS. March 10, 2011. CNPC and Jiangxi Provincial government signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. The two parities had friendly talks on further strengthening cooperation and promoting economic development of Jiangxi Province before the signing ceremony, reported the press-centre of CNPC.

As Jiangxi Province entered the new stage of rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, the undersupply of energy is becoming a short-board that need to be made up.

Jiangxi provincial party committee secretary Surong said that Jiangxi will accelerate the construction of gas pipeline network and gas storages to support CNPC's oil and gas business development in Jiangxi. Jiang Jiemin expressed that CNPC will conscientiously fulfill the agreement and spare no effort to provide energy. It is expect that the Second West-East Gas Pipeline will start to supply gas to Jiangxi on July 1st.
