Moldova Reduced Petrol Import by 15,8%
OREANDA-NEWS. March 10, 2011. At the same time, diesel oil import remained practically on the previous year’s level – 309.1 thousand tones, and import of liquefied gas grew 10.4% - to 66.8 thousand tones. Diesel oil accounted for 55.9% of the total volume of oil products imported in 2010 (572.6 thousand tones), petrol – 32.4%, liquefied gas – 11.7%.
LUKoil Moldova and Tirex Petrol were the main oil product importers last year. The first company accounted to 31.1% of the total petrol import, 33.2% of diesel oil and 25.1% of liquefied gas.
The second company accounted for 11.3% of the total petrol import, 19.9% - diesel oil import and 6.7% - liquefied gas. 110 economic agents holding 169 licenses worked in the oil product market of Moldova in 2010. 20 owners of the licenses were engaged in import and wholesale of petrol and diesel oil, 9 – liquefied gas.
Retail trade with petrol and diesel oil was run by 79 licensees at 565 gas filling stations, retail trade with liquefied gas – 51 licenses at 324 gas filling stations.
