OREANDA-NEWS. March 10, 2011. Belarus’ draft innovation programs will be widely presented at the Belarusian Industrial Forum, chairman of the organizing committee, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko said at a session of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Industrial Forum that is due to take place in Minsk on 17-20 May 2011.

“We need to display the draft innovation programs for the next five years as wide as possible. The forum will be attended by representatives of foreign companies who are always interested in our programs. Then we receive their proposals for cooperation,” Vladimir Semashko said.

According to him, the forum should demonstrate all the best Belarus has. It is important to show and tell the foreign participants of the forum what conditions and preferences Belarus offers its investors. “Today different firms, many countries seek markets for their technologies and products and can offer them to us on quite attractive terms. In this regard the forum will be very useful for discussing concrete proposals and projects,” Vladimir Semashko said.

According to the preliminary data of the organizing committee, partaking into the forum will be 300 to 350 organizations including companies from CIS and non-CIS countries. The organizing committee is currently discussing the details of the forthcoming forum. The forum will include an exhibition of modern energy efficient and resource saving technologies and equipment designed and produced in Belarus. The forum will also feature joint projects with foreign companies. The program of the forum will comprise an international symposium “Technologies, Equipment, Quality”, an international contest of energy efficient and resource saving technologies and equipment.

The primary goal of the forum is to provide assistance to Belarusian companies in addressing the tasks to expand the production of high-tech competitive products for the national and foreign markets. The forum will aim to promote the implementation of new high technologies and equipment, develop international cooperation, raise investment in the country’s industry.

The main organizer of the Belarusian Industrial Forum is the Industry Ministry.
