OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2011. State Committee  on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan sees no tragedy in the fact that it has to announce re-tenders for preparation of regional development plans for the country’s settlements.

Deputy Chairman of State Committee Dovletkhan Dovletkhanov has reported that low prices in the process of tenders are not the main indicators for contractors’ selection.

"We carry out tenders on international standards and in that case low prices almost always result in low quality. But it is important for us to provide the highest quality of work like in Europe or America. For this reason we have to announce re-tenders",  Dovletkhanov said.
