OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2011. The decision to increase the Bank’s share capital by UAH 923,123,664 (equivalent of USD116.4 million) was made at the General Shareholders Meeting, reported the press-centre of Alfa-Bank.

The increase will be carried out by means of the private placement of 217,872 ordinary registered shares with a nominal value of UAH 4,237. The shareholders have the preemptive right to buy additional shares proportionally to their share of the Bank’s authorized fund as of the date of the placement.

“Shareholders’ support has always been one of our competitive advantages as the Bank increased its share capital seven times over the last five years,” said Mrs. Viktoria Mikhalyo, Chair of the Management Board of Alfa-Bank (Ukraine), “current capital increase is in line with our ambitious plans to further expand our business”.

Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) is a universal commercial bank and part of international consortium Alfa Group. The Bank holds leading positions in all segments of the Ukrainian banking sector. According to National Bank of Ukraine statistics, Alfa-Bank is among the top 10 banks in Ukraine in terms of total assets and has one of the highest volumes of funds of legal entities.
