OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2011. Last year Uniastrum Bank’s Irkutsk operation upsized its overall lending portfolio 50% to more than Rb 1.3 bn as of January 1, 2011. Meantime, total corporate loans climbed over 75%, while SME credits increased 64%, amounting to Rb 422 mn as of year-start 2011. In the same period the branch’s credit card portfolio expanded 46.5% and personal loans 77%. Lending to households also improved: as of January 1, 2011 UB Irkutsk’s retail loan portfolio tipped the scales at Rb 258 mn., reported the press-centre of Uniastrum Bank.

2010 marked 5 years since Uniastrum opened its Irkutsk branch, in which time the Bank succeeded in solidifying its positions on the regional banking market, particularly in the lending sphere. Today corporate credits account for a good 80% of the Irkutsk branch’s overall loan portfolio. Not least among its notable achievements in this area was the extension of a credit line last summer to the Bruk Group, one of the region’s leading food-sector enterprises.

The year 2010 also saw UB Irkutsk boost its regional presence with the opening of a convenience branch in Ulan-Ude, capital of the Buryat Republic. The Irkutsk branch office, located at 6, Stepan Razin Street, Irkutsk, and its neighborhood banking centers in Bratsk and Ulan-Ude offer a wide range of services for both retail and corporate clients. Also, the branch remains committed to expanding its business-side lending operations, including loans to SME, which make up a substantial part of the local budget. In the mean time, Uniastrum payment cards and personal loans continue to remain popular favorite banking options among the local community.
