OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2011. Uralkali announces that the Brazilian Competition Authorities unconditionally approved the proposed statutory merger of Uralkali and Silvinit (the “Proposed Merger”).

The Proposed Merger, which will create one of the world’s leading potash companies, is expected to be completed till the end of the second quarter of 2011, following inter alia approval by the Russian Federal Anti-Monopoly Service and merger control approvals in other jurisdictions where required.
