OREANDA-NEWS. March 04, 2011. The Ministry of Civil Affairs and China Life Charity Foundation signed the agreements “China Life sponsorship program for Yushu earthquake orphans” and “China Life sponsorship for Zhouqu mudslides orphans” in Beijing, reported the press-centre of China Life.

Mr. Dou Yupei, Vice Minister of Civil Affairs; Mr. Wan Feng, President of China Life Insurance Company Limited and Chairman of China Life Charity Foundation; and Ms. Liu Yingqi, VicePresident of China Life Insurance Company Limited and Director of China Life Charity Foundation, attended the signing ceremony.

According to the agreement, China Life Charity Foundation will sponsor RMB 600 per month to each of the 403 Yushu earthquake orphans and 56Zhouqu mudslide sorphans, valid from the day the disasters occurred until they are 18 years old or until they are adopted.

As of now, China Life Charity Foundation has offered sponsor total of 1,083 orphans suffered from the Wenchuan earthquake, Yushu earthquake and Zhouqu mudslides.
