OREANDA-NEWS. March 04, 2011. Citadele Bank’s clients are welcome to fill in the Population and Housing Census questionnaire electronically for themselves as well as for their family members by using their authorization codes for Internet bank. “This is a way how our clients to participate in Population and Housing Census easily, promptly and in a modern manner by selecting the most convenient time and place for filling in the questionnaire by 10 March,” says Guntis Belavskis, Member of the Board of Citadele Bank, reported the press-centre of Citadele Bank.

The opportunity of filling the questionnaire in at www.tautasskaitisana.lv is valid from 1 until 10 March in Latvia. The inhabitants who have not filled in the questionnaire online will be visited by census counters from 17 March until 31 May at inhabitants’ place of residence.

Population and Housing Census questionnaire can be accessed online by entering one’s personal identity number and passport code, Internet bank ID or e-signature. In order to fill in the questionnaire for your family members, all you need to know is their personal identity numbers.

Population and Housing Census questionnaire can also be filled in at 874 public libraries in Latvia where inhabitants are welcome to use the Internet free of charge.

As announced previously, Population and housing census is going to take place in Latvia from 1 March until 31 May 2011. This is the first Census for Latvia since joining the European Union (EU) and it is also the first one where questionnaires can be filled online. Summarization and publishing of Census results is planned to take place in 2012 and 2013.
