OREANDA-NEWS. March 04, 2011. The insurance company ROSNO, a subsidiary of the international insurance conglomerate Allianz, and Neste St. Petersburg Ltd., belonging to the Finnish conglomerate Neste Oil Oyj, have signed an agreement on cooperation in the Green Card system. From now on, the car owners travelling to Finland and Estonia, may acquire ROSNO’s Green Card policies at Neste fuel stations located towards the border, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

IC ROSNO is the first insurer in St. Petersburg to partner Neste in selling Green Card policies at fuel stations. The decision on cooperation was made with the view of the development of the strategic project of ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate aiming to increase business volumes in the Green Card system. The purpose of the project is to expand the share of IC ROSNO in the Green Card market by opening new sales outlets in the border regions of the European part of Russia. In autumn of 2010, the company decided to intensify operations in this segment.

Today, ROSNO is represented at three Neste fuel stations: two of them are located along the Scandinavia highway — one at 133rd km and another in the township Kondratyevo, and the third one is located in Ivangorod, on Kingiseppskoye Highway in the Estonian direction. This is just the beginning of cooperation — the partners already have plans to further expand ROSNO’s presence at Neste, but the precise extent will become clear later.

Today, ROSNO’s presence at Neste fuel stations is notable for prompt and comprehensive nature of customer service. The work of ROSNO’s insurance agents in the sales outlets is organized in strict conformity to Neste’s and ROSNO’s corporate standards: visualized sales points, 24-hour service, prompt document issuance, and consultations on the issues arising in case of a traffic accident abroad. In addition to the policy, a client receives a special booklet with all necessary phone numbers and recommendations which must be followed in case of a traffic accident. This service level has become possible thanks to the high service quality standards adopted by Neste fuel stations, in combination with the customer-oriented approach of ROSNO team.

Another advantage for the clients is that ROSNO’s shareholder, the international insurance conglomerate Allianz, possesses an extensive branch network in over 40 foreign countries participating in the Green Card system. This enables ROSNO insurants to fully rely on the insurance protection in all foreign countries where their policies are valid. In addition, along with the Green Card policies, Neste fuel stations sell OMTPL policies, travellers’ insurance and ROSNO’s product riders (Safety Belt, First-Aid Kit, Megapolis-Express, etc.) which may be purchased to complement ROSNO’s basic insurance products.

"For our company, the cooperation with Neste is, undoubtedly, attractive and promising", comments Ms. Svetlana Kuznetsova, Director of the Corporate Sales Department of the North-Western Directorate of OJSC IC ROSNO. "The synergy of the famous brands implementing the internationally adopted high customer quality standards results in a twice as large positive effect for the clients. I believe that the possibility to purchase ROSNO’s Green Card policy at a Neste fuel station is an ideal proposition for contemporary business people who, I am sure, will appreciate the advantages of the new service".

"For us the choice of insurer was not an easy one", says Ringaudas Steikunas, Commercial Director of Neste St. Petersburg Ltd. "Previously, no insurance company was represented at our fuel stations. The key argument in favour of ROSNO has been that the company has a solid and experienced international shareholder — one of the leaders of the insurance market. We hope that our cooperation with ROSNO will enable us to expand the range of services offered by the network of Neste fuel stations and thus increase loyalty of both the existing and potential Neste clients".
