OREANDA-NEWS. March 03, 2011. Low quality buckwheat will not appear on the Ukrainian market. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov announced that today at a working visit to scientific institutions of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, commenting on information that the health services in Russia condemned the quality of Chinese buckwheat and banned its importation into its territory.

" I do not have official information on that fact. Still, such guarantee, of course, exists. It is absolute. Nothing that can hurt people will not enter into Ukraine", Mykola Azarov said.

The Prime Minister informed that Ukraine has lobbying groups, which are holding corporate information warfare and are interested in increasing the food prices. "Unfortunately, in our so-called market economy, there are lobbying groups which for money can disseminate any information, battling with their competitors.

These are the same forces which created excitement in the consumer market, which lead to higher prices, the deficit", the Premier said. He added that in such a way the excitement is created in Ukraine and false information about the quality of some foodstuffs is spread. "We need to develop a system of countering that will allow to deliver to our people absolutely reliable information. No shortage of buckwheat would have place, if not artificial boom created by some businessmen who wanted to earn abnormally high demand for abnormally high prices", Mykola Azarov concluded.
