OREANDA-NEWS. March 03, 2011. Covering 3-5 years Ukraine will provide a full domestic food production. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov announced at a working visit to research institutes of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

"The main thing that interests me: how to make some groups achievements the property of the country. The task is huge, very serious. And everybody is absolutely clear and evident that within a year no radical changes will not have place, but a deliberate, systematic work for 3-5, possibly 7 years, will solve a lot of very serious problems. First of all, providing Ukraine's with own food: grain, meat milk, and fruit", Mykola Azarov emphasized. According to him, it does not require enormous funds, but right decisions are necessary based on big, serious work. He added that the support and development of domestic agriculture is the priority for the Government.

In addition, the PM informed that, during a visit to the National Scientific Centrу "Institute of Agriculture" and "Institute of Horticulture" of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, almost all problems that are in domestic agriculture were discussed. "We obviously need to do that. Now the main task is not to waste time, because the spring field work are upcoming. Therefore it is extremely important for the Government and the Ministry of agriculture, and regional administrations, and all who work the land, to focus on the major issues facing our country", the Prime Minister concluded.
