OREANDA-NEWS. March 2, 2011. Ingosstrakh OJSIC has paid 1.2 mln rubles to “Agro 2003” LLC, located in the Vargashinsky district of the Kurgan region because of the harvest failure.

Under the agreement, the harvest of soy on the area of 500 hectares was insured for the total sum of 7.5 mln rubles.

The insurance event was the drought of last year which led to the destruction of harvest of the agricultural plant. To establish the amount of damage done to “Agro 2003” LLC, it was necessary to hold an expert examination. As a result, the event was considered to be an insurance event, and Ingosstrakh OJSIC has paid the insurance indemnity the company in accordance with the conditions of insurance agreement.

Ingosstrakh OJSIC and “Agro 2003” LLC have cooperated in the sphere of agricultural insurance since 2006. During this time, the objects of insurance included agricultural machines, equipment, commodity stocks, and future harvest of agricultural plants.
