OREANDA-NEWS. March 2, 2011. Ingosstrakh OJSIC branch in Petrozavodsk has paid 13.8 million rubles trout-breeding farm of the Republic of Karelia in connection with the loss of trout.

Rainbow trout was insured against death or enforced killing for an overall amount of 85,65 million rubles.

The heatwave of 2010 has become an ensured event, as it was observed in the region the previous summer and led to a partial loss of fish. The accident was considered to be insured, and Ingosstrakh OJSIC has paid an indemnification for the company in full.

This is not the first case of carrying-out of Ingosstrakh OJSIC obligations on insurance of trout-breeding farms in the Republic of Karelia. In the period of 2008 to 2011, Ingosstrakh OJSIC paid Karelian policyholders more than 26 million rubles for the fish loss.
