OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2011. Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will direct 150 million UAH for fulfilment of the state target program of social and economic construction (purchase) of affordable housing in 2010-2017.

The draft resolution "Several question on the state budget funds to provide state support for the construction (purchase) of affordable housing" prepared by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing of Ukraine is approved by the Cabinet. The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Tykhonov announced this. According to him, the Ministry requested the allocation of 340 million UAH to the program during 2011.

Viktor Tykhonov informed that at present several thousand people throughout Ukraine have expressed willingness to conclude an agreement to build affordable housing. He said, the Interdepartmental Commission for the selection of unfinished housing selected 133 items for participation in the programme, the total proposed cost of apartments in which makes 2 783 684.48 thousands UAH.

The Vice Prime Minister said that after mastering еру allocated 150 million UAH, the Ministry would apply for additional resources for implementation during 2011 of the state target socio-economic program for the construction (purchase) of affordable housing in 2010-2017.

Viktor Tykhonov also informed that in 2010 first funds were previewed for state support to citizens who wished to participate in the Programme. "These funds were received in September. During almost 2 months of work directly with the citizens, about 70 million UAH of the state budget were received, which allowed to attract 180.9 million UAH of personal resources of citizens and to allocate additional 250 million to housing construction. In addition, it allowed to resume construction of 38 objects all over Ukraine, 11 of which have already been put into operation in 2010 and 27 houses are planned to be put into operation during first half of 2011", Viktor Tykhonov said.
