RBD Took Part in Round Table on SME Lending Held in Ufa
OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2011. CEO of RBD Sergey Krjukov during his business trip to Ufa took part in a round table “On Building up SME Lending in the regions of Russia with Participation of Institutions for Development” that was held in the National Bank of the Republic of Bashkortostan under support of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia and attendance of its President – Anatoly Aksakov, reported the press-centre of RBD.
In his address the RBD’s CEO pointed out that the Republic of Bashkortostan is one of the active partners of the Bank in SME lending. “Bashkortostan is among the largest limit-holders under the RBD Program. Moreover the potential of the regional small business is rather high thus fostering investments in this sector. To attain this goal we negotiate with the regional banks”, said S.Krjukov. He pointed out that the Bank has 29 partners in the region (15 banks and 14 SME infrastructure support entities). The limit set for the region is RUR 1.930 billion, and out of this amount RUR 1.468 has already allocated; the size of loans extended to SMEs by the RBD partners in the republic amounts to RUR 901 million.
RBD intends to enlarge proposals for its partners in the republic and to support innovative and modernization SMEs on the basis of regional infrastructure (industrial parks, business incubators and venture funds) attracting research and technology potential of the republic. What is more the Bank will facilitate PPP mechanism for example in leasing arrangements. Together with federal and regional authorities the institutions for development including RBD are going to propose a comprehensive program on diversification of the mono-towns economy.
During the business trip S.Krjukov had a working meeting met with the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.
