OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2011. UNISTREAM international money transfer system launches a new product to the Armenian market – customer unified card. The use of the card facilitates the transfer process since the card comprises all the necessary data about customers. Having a unique number each unified card bears basic information about the customer and his transactions via the system. One of the most obvious advantages of the innovation is considerable reduction of servicing time. The card spares the servicing manager the need of entering information required for money transfer. Customers should only submit the card to a banking official who will see all required data via the unified card number. Besides providing access to database the card will allow to see and trace online status of the made and current transfers, reported the press-centre of Unibank.

Today UNISTREAM international money transfer system is the most demanded at the Armenian market. In 2010 the turnover of the system increased by 8.5% and made 597 million USD. The number of transfers in 2010 made 748.000.

“Today the popularity of UNISTREAM in Armenia is conditioned with a row of factors. Amongst the most important are optimal tariffs, which we succeeded to fix in the republic. We are the only system that offers transfers in national currency – Armenian drams – at a tariff of 0.35%”, said the president of UNISTREAM system Souren Hayriyan. Besides the attractive tariffs UNISTREAM advances non-address transfers option allowing a client to receive money in any of the 34 branches of “Unibank”.
