OREANDA-NEWS. March 1, 2011. Implementation of investment projects of enterprises of the timber processing complex continued in 2010. According to preliminary data of large enterprises of the timber processing complex of the republic, on results of 2010 volume of investments has grown 2.3-fold having made 3,5 billion roubles.

Thus, in pulp-and-paper industry it has been invested 967,4 million roubles, including 311,4 million roubles in Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill JSC and 641,5 million roubles in Kondopoga, Inc.

In woodworking it has been invested 999,5 million roubles, including 325 million roubles in Key Forest, Inc., 480 million roubles in Kalevala woodworking enterprize, Inc., 95 million roubles in Bumex Lahdenpohja Plywood Mill, Ltd.

Logging enterprises have invested 257,7 million roubles, including 134,4 million roubles by Severnaya Logging Company, Inc. and 73,9 million roubles by Karellesprom Holding Company, Inc.

Enterprises of the timber processing complex of the republic invest in development of other industries. Thus, 1,2 billion roubles was assigned for the energy sector. In 2010 Kondopoga, Inc. continued reconstruction of Thermal Power Plant-1, in 2010 for this purposes it has been assigned 965 million roubles, Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill has invested 295,3 million roubles in reconstruction of black oil facilities.

Inversments are also received in the public road system: in 2010 in forest road building it has been invested 89,7 million roubles.

Further mobilization of investment in the timber processing complex of the republic will be focused on advanced processing of timber and complex use of forest resources, involvement of low-standard timber and waste wood in production, development of bioenergetics.
