OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2011. The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its work on management of the credit portfolio in banks, strengthening of risk management potential and improvement of stress testing. To that end, the Centre for Research and Development of the Central Bank (CRD) jointly with the Azerbaijan Bank Training Centre (ABTC) through the assistance of the SECO arranged training courses on “Stress testing” and “Management of the Credit Portfolio”, reported the press-centre of CBA.

Training courses are conducted in English by an esteemed professor of one of the powerful international educational institutions – Waterloo University of Canada Thomas Coleman and Ph.D. David Saunders.

Training courses will cover issues on significance of stress testing and methodology of conducting stress testing, management of credit portfolio, theoretical skills and practical tools. The training courses will serve for improvement of skills of the participants in stress testing and management of the credit portfolio.

The training is attended by employees of the CBA and commercial banks. Upon completion of the trainings the participants will be awarded joint certificates of the CBA, ABTC and the Waterloo University.
