OREANDA-NEWS. February 28 2011. Renaissance Group, the leading emerging markets investment firm, announces that Alexander Merzlenko has been appointed asDeputy CEO of Renaissance Group in Russia.

In this new role, Mr. Merzlenko’s focus will be on widening and deepening the Firm's key relationships across the public and private sectors in Russia, and on supporting the development of public and government relations.

Mr. Merzlenko joined Renaissance in 2000 and was appointed Head of Russian Investment Banking and Financing in 2009, a position he will continue to hold. With over 15 years' experience in Russian investment banking, Mr. Merzlenko has led some of the largest and most complex Russian transactions in the market.

Mr. Merzlenko will report to Alexander Pertsovsky, Renaissance Group’s CEO for Russia. In his capacity as Head of Russian Investment Banking, Mr. Merzlenko will continue to report to Andrew Cornthwaite, Renaissance’s Global Head of Investment Banking and Financing.
