OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2011. A 3-year program for the improvement of energy efficiency has been developed in Varyoganneftegaz (TNK-BP’s subsidiary), reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.
The core action to take place includes water shut off jobs, reduction of inefficient injection, improvements of heat-and-power engineering, reductions of power consumption and reengineering of infrastructure. The action is expected to help the company save about RUR 120 mln in 2011.
In 2010 a total of seven pilots took place in Varyoganneftegaz to shut off the formation water. The search for technologies to achieve no-nonsense savings of power in the course of treatment and pumping of produced water is going to go on. The plans for this year include 40 jobs and tests of 5 technologies to take place.
