Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Public Sector Oil giant, which sells cooking gas under the brand HP Gas, launched a new and one-of-its-kind product, Multi- Function Regulator at a glittering function held in Pune. HPCL has always been pioneer in launch of innovative products and services which are intended for enhancing customer experience and redefining safety at customer premises.

This new generation Multi-Function Regulator has additional safety features over the conventional domestic pressure regulator and has been developed in order to provide enhanced safety in domestic LPG installation. The salient features of this regulator include stoppage of flow of LPG in case of snapping of LPG tube and also detection of leakage through LPG hose. Another important feature of MFR is level indicator which indicates level of LPG in the cylinder and shall facilitate housewife in re-ordering of next refill. This regulator shall be available in two versions, one is Analog and the other one is Electronic. The security deposit of this regulator shall be Rs 400 and Rs 600 for Analog and Electronic type, respectively. The customer has option to take normal regulator or this advanced regulator at the time taking new LPG connection. The existing customers can upgrade to multi-function regulator by returning the old regulator and paying the differential security deposit.

Delivering the Keynote address, Ms Nishi Vasudeva, ED LPG, stated that safety of LPG customers is one of our prime responsibilities and significant aspect of LPG Business. Ensuring the stringent safety standard at more than 3 Cr customer premises is one of the major challenges considering the spread and number of customers. The challenges in promoting safety at consumer premises has inspired us to become more focused, committed and sensitive towards key safety issues.

HPCL is first in Oil Industry to dedicate this regulator to LPG customers. The launch of Multi- Function Regulator is also in line with Vision 2015 of MOP&NG with theme “Customer Satisfaction & Beyond”.

This Multi-Function Regulator shall be available at selected distributorships at Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore.
