OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2011. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) in the Moscow region (OFAS Russia) suspects that “Shokoladnitsa” Ltd. violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” in its operation in the sterile area of Domodedovo airport, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Having investigated the case materials, OFAS Russia for the Moscow Region initiated a case against “Shokoladnitsa” Ltd. for abusing its dominance on the retail market of food products and public catering servics in the sterile area of Domodedovo airport by fixing and maintaining monopolistically high prices.

“To protect the interests of citizens, OFAS Russia in the Moscow Region jointly with the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office for law enforcement in the sector of air and water transport inspected activities of the economic entities involved in retail sale of food products and the economic entities providing public catering services in the sterile area of Domodedovo airport to verify that food products prices were justified”, said the Head of OFAS Russia for the Moscow Region, Igor Bashlakov-Nikolaev.
