TKB Issues Talisman Cards
OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2011. With the aesthetic looks of the payment card in mind, at the beginning of 2011 Trasta Komercbanka issued a series of MasterCard payment cards of new design in which the latest technologies are combined with a special heraldic design incorporating symbols of success.
Apart from the newest generation micro schemes providing even higher degree of card security, TKB payment cards stand out by their design whose sophistication is coupled with the heraldic classic traditions and symbols of success. For each of the five payment cards of the MasterCard series (Cirrus, Maestro, MasterCard, MC Business and MC Gold), the bank has come up with a specific coat of arms which includes the symbols of abundance, prosperity and achievement.
Jolanta Kaнe, manager of the card design project, explains: "In the creation of the coat of arms we took into consideration the meaning of each element, floral symbol and placement of every detail. Each coat of arms is crowned by a motto embodying a positive message to our client. You will not find here a single inadvertent element; everything is conveying the idea of success and prosperity. It is for a reason that they say that the best place for a talisman attracting money is a wallet. Then why can’t our payment card serve as such a talisman since it is always within reach?"
Tatjana Konnova, head of the Customer Lending Department, says: "TKB payment cards offer our clients numerous advantages, and one of them is the ability to make payments easily and comfortably in foreign countries. Further on, our cards will help our clients not only effectively manage their finances from any place in the world, but, I hope, will become a pledge of their welfare."
The coat of arms designed for Cirrus cards is decorated with the motto FORTUNA ET PROSPERITAS – GOOD FORTUNE AND PROSPERITY.
The symbol placed on the shield of the coat of arms – a horseshoe – is traditionally believed to bring luck and success in all undertakings and protect from the negative. The four-leaf clover symbolizes prosperity, realization of plans, and good health. The scepter and the crown as classic symbols of royal power corroborate the right to accomplishments and good luck.
The design of Maestro cards conveys the idea of retention and successful accruement of assets. It is also reinforced in the motto of the card – SALVUS ET INCOLUMIS, which when paraphrased from Latin means ULTIMATE SECURITY.
The card’s coat of arms is embellished by a lotus flower, a classic symbol of prosperity and growth. The crossed keys at the bottom of the coat of arms denote security and good luck, wealth and retention of assets accumulated. The coat of arms is topped off with a crown and it implies fertility through the featuring of plants symbolizing achievements.
MC Mass card will be appreciated by clients to whom such values as WISDOM and ACCOMPLISHMENTS are important. These values are reflected in the motto PRUDENTIA ET PROVENTUS.
The shield of the coat of arms is decorated with the lion’s head which is a symbol of power, wisdom and success. According to heraldic traditions, lilies featured on the MC Mass card’s coat of arms, similarly to the crown, stand for might and guardianship rendered by higher powers. Acanthus leaves entwining the shield mean successful overcoming of all obstacles.
MC Business card is intended for a corporate client. Its design embodies core values of a prosperous business that are also defined in the motto of the card which reads MOTUS AD MELIOREM – PROGRESSION TOWARDS THE BEST.
The shield of the coat of arms features a ship, a symbol of development, courage and business luck, and a wind rose denoting a lucky journey. The laurel leaves and the crown on the shield of the coat of arms are traditional companions of victory, patronage and might.
The design of the prestigious MC Gold card embodies SECURITY AND ABUNDANCE, which is also reflected in the motto of the card – FIDUCIA ET COPIA.
The main elements of the coat of arms are two cornucopias used as shield holders. These mighty prosperity symbols are entwined with oak branches that traditionally symbolize power, potency, protection and victory. The crown and the flags in the upper part of the coat of arms inspire readiness to overcome any obstacles.
