COSL719 Successfully Completed Its Papua New Guinea Operation
OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2011. China Oilfield Services Limited (“COSL”) saw its seismic vessel fleet COSL719 successfully completed a 3-D geophysical data collection contract in Papua New Guinea recently, representing another satisfactory conclusion of overseas service contracts by the fleet after the completion of Middle East project, reported the press-centre of COSL719.
This operation started on 12 January 2011. The COSL719 fleet, through meticulous planning and seamless cooperation among the crew, overcame difficulties in the operating waters including presence of large population of floating objects, strong water currents, lack of adequate support vessels etc., and accomplished the data collection mission successfully in a timely manner.
The service was delivered during the Chinese New Year festival and the COSL crew received very warm welcome and care from the Chinese Embassy in Papua New Guinea. The Chinese Embassy rendered the best support and protection possible, allowing the crew to feel the warmth and care from their mother country.
