CNPC, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Sign Cooperation Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2011. CNPC President Jiang Jiemin had talks with head of the standing committee of NCP of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Guo Shengkun and chairman of the Ma Biao on further strengthening cooperation in Beijing. The two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the 12th Five-Year Plan period after talks, reported the press-centre of CNPC.
The 10Mt/a refining project at Guangxi Petrochemical became operational on September, 2010, and is running smoothly now. CNPC has already determined to build Qinzhou into a large–scale petrochemical base.
During the talks, Jiang Jiemin expressed his thanks to Guangxi government for its substantial support to CNPC's business development in the autonomous region, such as refining & chemicals, refined products marketing, wharf and port construction, etc. Guo Shengkun said that Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will take the signing of this strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to provide all-around services to CNPC's development in Guangxi as always, and open up wider business space for both sides.
