OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2011. The State Road Administration has concluded three contracts for repair of the national roads Chisinau-Soroca and Chisinau-Hincesti in the amount of about 400 million leis. To realize these three contracts, foreign companies will receive financing support as loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and from the European Investment Bank. The first contract on restoration of the M2 Chisinau-Soroca road, 26-200 kilometer and 54-850 kilometer is valued at 200.226 million leis.

Repair of a kilometer of road of this segment will cost about 7 million leis. The second contract concerns restoration of the M2 Chisinau-Soroca road, 54-580 km and 71-165 km worth 71.113 million leis. A kilometer of this sector will cost over 4 million leis.

The third contract connected with restoration of the R3 Hincesti-Chisinau road, 22+00 – 29-920 km is valued at 126.809 million leis. A kilometer of rehabilitation of the road will cost over 16 million leis. According to the Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Boris Gherasim, the road on one of the sectors will be expanded with four lines built, while others will remain with two lines.
